Getting to Karachi from Gwadar
By road, the Makran coastal highway runs east along the sea to Karachi. It is a long, beautiful and empty road, so carry water, plan stops and keep the stump comfortable. By air, flights connect Gwadar with Karachi, though schedules vary; check before you plan.
Salt, sand and water
Salt air and sea water corrode steel parts and damage ordinary liners, feet and knees. For anyone who works on boats or near the water, a waterproof leg as a second leg is worth considering. Rinse sand and salt off the everyday leg, keep it dry, and choose rust-proof parts where you can.
Planning around your journey
Because flight schedules from the coast vary, we plan the appointments around the flight or the road trip you can manage, and aim to finish the casting, test socket, fitting and training before your return date. If the stump is still shrinking, a temporary leg lets you go home walking and come back for the final socket later.
Follow-up from the coast
Send photos or short videos on WhatsApp if something changes. Many questions can be answered that way, and if a visit is needed we plan it to be short.
