In short
The short answer
Book a free assessment at our Karachi clinic, or send a photo of the stump on WhatsApp first. If the wound has healed and the swelling has settled, we cast the stump, fit a clear test socket, then finish the leg and teach you to walk on it.
Below knee legs start from Rs 80,000 and above knee legs from Rs 150,000. The knee and foot you choose decide the rest. Most legs take three to five visits.

Components
We import and fit parts from these makers to order when a patient needs them. We are independent of every one of them, so the advice is about your walking, not a sales target. Ottobock and Össur knees, Blatchford and Proteor feet and the humble Jaipur Foot all have a place. Read our notes on each brand.
Prices for 2026

From first call to first steps
Tell us the level, the date of surgery and your city. A stump photo helps.
We check healing, swelling, skin and strength, and say honestly if it is too early.
A plaster impression of the stump, plus measurements of the other leg.
A clear trial socket shows the pressure points before anything is finished.
Socket, knee and foot are assembled and aligned to the way you walk.
Balance, then steps. Follow-ups keep the fit right as the stump changes.
Coming from out of town? Tell us your travel dates and we will plan the visits close together wherever the stump allows.

Why so many amputations
A diabetic foot ulcer that does not heal is the usual road to a toe, foot or below knee amputation. Pakistan carries one of the heaviest diabetes burdens on earth, so we fit many legs after diabetic surgery, and we fit them differently: softer sockets, slower first weeks and closer skin checks.

Our indicative 2026 rangeFrom abroad
Whether you are arranging a leg for a father or mother in Pakistan, or planning to fly home for your own fitting, most of the planning can happen on WhatsApp before anyone travels. Being fitted in Pakistan usually costs much less than in the UK, the Gulf or North America, mainly because the clinical work and locally made parts cost less.

Questions
Below knee legs start from Rs 80,000 and above knee legs from Rs 150,000. Imported knees and feet raise the price: a fully imported below knee leg can pass Rs 900,000, and an above knee leg with a microprocessor knee goes well past Rs 2,500,000. The free assessment tells you where in the range your leg sits.
Yes. We examine the stump, ask about your walking, work and home, and explain the options and the likely price. There is no charge and no obligation to order anything.
Because the knee, the foot and the suspension can each cost more than the rest of the leg put together. Two below knee legs can look alike and differ several times in price because one has an imported carbon fibre foot and a vacuum socket.
Usually once the wound has fully healed and the swelling has settled, which is often six to eight weeks after surgery and sometimes longer after a diabetic amputation. A temporary leg can sometimes start earlier. We check this at the assessment rather than guess on the phone.
Most legs take three to five visits: the assessment, casting, a test socket fitting, then the final fitting with walking training, plus follow-ups as the stump settles. Hip level legs and legs for both sides usually need more.
Some pressure and tiredness are normal in the first weeks while the skin toughens. Sharp pain, red marks that have not faded twenty minutes after taking the leg off, or any broken skin are not normal. Call us and we will adjust the socket.

Often, if the stump is ready and the patient can stay in the city for the visits. Tell us your travel dates when you call. Sometimes a second short trip is needed for adjustments once the leg has been worn for a few weeks.
Yes. A son, daughter or brother abroad can handle the questions, photos and the written estimate on WhatsApp. The patient still comes in person for the assessment, the casting and the fitting.
Yes. Send photos of the stump and your surgeon's notes first, so we can tell you whether the stump is ready and how many days to plan for. Most below knee legs need three to five visits, so allow one to two weeks in Karachi, and longer for above knee and hip level legs.
Yes. Many users stand for qiyam with the leg on and use a chair or sit for ruku and sajda when the knee does not bend far enough. For wudu, a waterproof leg or a quick way to take the leg off makes life easier. Our namaz and wudu guide goes through it step by step.
The socket usually needs changing first, often within one to three years in the early years as the stump shrinks. Knees and feet commonly last three to five years with sensible care. We check the whole leg at every follow-up.
Not with an ordinary leg; water ruins liners, feet and knees. A waterproof shower leg is made for exactly that, and we build them for patients who need to stand in the shower or walk on wet floors.
Fill this in and WhatsApp opens with your message ready to send. Add a photo of the stump in the chat if you can; it tells us more than any description.
