Getting to Karachi from Nawabshah
By road, the journey south through Hyderabad and on to the M-9 takes several hours. By rail, Nawabshah is on the main line, and trains to Karachi suit patients who find long car journeys hard.
Day trips or a short stay
If the journey is manageable, you can come for each visit and go home between them. If not, a short stay of a few days around the casting and fitting works well. We can combine the assessment and casting into one visit to save a trip.
Some of the hottest days in Pakistan
Nawabshah is known for some of the highest temperatures ever recorded in the country. Heat makes the stump sweat inside the socket or liner. Take the leg or liner off at midday, dry the skin and the liner, keep a spare liner for summer, and drink plenty of water. Tell us if sweat is causing rubbing; a different liner or socket design can help.
