Many legs we fit are arranged by a son, daughter or brother working abroad, for a parent or relative at home. We make that easy: photos and questions on WhatsApp, a call that includes you, and a written estimate the whole family can see.

What to send
The more we see before the first visit, the more useful the first conversation is.
Photos are not a substitute for the assessment, because we need to examine the stump and see your relative stand. But they tell us whether the stump is likely to be ready, which level and type of leg to discuss, and roughly what it will cost.
Time zones
Karachi has no daylight saving, so the gap changes when your clock does. WhatsApp is answered 24 hours a day.
From the Gulf, direct flights take two to three hours; from the UK and North America, most routes connect through the Gulf or another hub.
Good to know
In the UK, NHS limb services fit residents who are entitled to NHS care; in the USA, insurance or Medicare usually covers limbs; in Canada, provincial programmes help residents. For a relative who lives in Pakistan, a leg fitted close to home is easier to adjust and repair for years.
The walking at the Haram is long and the floors are polished marble. A well-fitted socket, a comfortable liner, practice with long walks and a wheelchair for parts of tawaf and sa'i help. We can check the leg before you travel.
Many families come home on annual leave or in December and January. If the stump is ready, a new leg usually fits into one to two weeks; tell us your dates early and we plan the assessment for the start and the fitting before you leave.
Paying from abroad
All prices on this site are in Pakistani rupees. The written estimate after the assessment lists every part and shows the price on the day it is written; imported parts follow the exchange rate. We send it on WhatsApp so everyone helping with the cost sees the same figures, and we are happy to explain it by phone. Ask us how payment can be arranged for your situation.

Below knee legs from Rs 80,000, above knee legs from Rs 150,000, with imported parts raising the price. The free assessment ends with a firm figure in writing.

A new leg usually fits into one stay in Karachi if the stump is ready when you arrive.
