Getting to Karachi from Turbat
By air, flights connect Turbat with Karachi and are much the easiest option for a patient with a fresh stump. By road, the journey runs down to the coastal highway and east to Karachi, and takes most of a day; plan stops and carry water.
Heat and dust
Kech summers are very hot and dusty. Sweat inside the socket or liner and dust in the foot, lock or valve are the everyday problems. Take the liner off at midday to dry, keep a spare, and clean dust out of the moving parts daily. Simple, tough parts are easier to keep working.
