Beach walks and the sea
Salt water, sand and an everyday leg do not mix: liners, foot shells and metal parts are damaged by them. A waterproof leg with a rubber foot and rust-proof parts can go onto the sand and into the sea. Rinse it with fresh water afterwards and let it dry.
Living in high-rise towers
Many Clifton homes are flats in tall buildings. We practise lifts, corridors and stairs at the clinic, so that a lift out of order during load-shedding is an inconvenience rather than a crisis.
Getting to the clinic from Clifton
The drive across the city depends on traffic, so we give appointment times outside the busiest hours where we can and combine the assessment and casting into one visit. Call before you leave and we will confirm the time.
