Getting to the clinic from Hub
From Hub, the route crosses into Karachi and runs through the city to Gulshan-e-Iqbal. Distance is short, but traffic can make it slow, so allow time and call us if you are delayed. Most patients come by car, rickshaw or ride-hailing app with a family member.
Injuries at work and help from employers
Hub is an industrial town, and accidents at work are one cause of amputation. If your amputation followed a workplace accident, ask your employer whether they will contribute to the leg; we can provide an itemised written estimate to support the request. Our page on help with paying lists other options.
Getting back to work
Many people return to work with an artificial leg, sometimes to the same job with small changes. Tell us what your work involves: long standing, ladders, heat or heavy lifting all affect the socket, the foot and how we train you.
Day visits, spaced to suit you
Because you can go home between visits, the steps can be spread to suit work: the assessment and casting, the test socket a few days later, then the final fitting and training, with follow-ups as the stump settles.
